Asexual reproduction me ek hi parent bina gametes ke fusion ke offspring banata hai — to bachche parent ki genetic copy hote hain.
Iske kai roop hain: budding, fragmentation, aur — fungi me bahut common — bina meiosis ke bane spores. Fungi conidia (conidiophores par khule me, jaise Aspergillus), sporangiospores (sporangium ke andar, jaise Rhizopus), ya motile zoospores banate hain.
Do parents ka DNA mix nahi hota, to har offspring lagbhag clone hota hai — achhe conditions me fast aur reliable, par variation kam.

Ye mat maano ki har fungus conidia banata hai. Phycomycetes jaise Rhizopus asexually sporangiospores/zoospores se reproduce karte hain, conidia se nahi — spore type ko group se match karna hi test hota hai.
