Terms of Use — Reads

These terms cover your use of Reads, a private space for reading and learning.Reads is in beta — it's offered as-is while we refine it. By using it, you agree to these terms.

Your account

You're responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Use Reads lawfully and don't misuse, disrupt, or attempt to break the service.

Your content

Everything you save and write in Reads is yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store and display it back to you so the service works. We don't claim ownership of your notes, and we don't use them to train models or for advertising (see our Privacy Policy).

Open-access resources

Discover surfaces open-access papers and books from third-party sources. Those resources are provided by their publishers/repositories and governed by their own licenses and terms; Reads links to them and does not host them.

Beta & availability

Because Reads is in beta, features may change and the service is provided “as is” without warranties. We aren't liable for indirect or incidental damages to the extent the law allows. We'll give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.

Ending use

You can delete your account anytime from Settings. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.
